Now available to pre-order: Adastra S260-WIFI internet streaming and Bluetooth 60 + 60w stereo digital amplifier

Class-D miniature stereo amplifier delivering up to 2 x 60W output with Bluetooth and WiFi streaming capability. Controlled from an Android or iOS smart phone, the S260-WIFI is compatible with freely available apps to stream music and podcasts directly from a WiFi network. Embedded internet radio offers high quality digital audio from almost any online radio station or podcast available worldwide. Subscription services can store online playlists which can be cast directly from the internet without requiring the smart phone to be connected to the network. Wireless streaming of tracks and playlists stored on the smart phone can be sent from within the app or directly via Bluetooth to the amplifier. A line input is seleAdastra S260-WIFI internet streaming and Bluetooth digital amplifierctable for connection to a TV, CD, DVD or other playback device if required. In addition, the S260-WIFI has inputs for USB and microSD card for playback of stored tracks. Provides a versatile “hands off” background music solution for continuous playback of music from internet services or a choice of other sources for bars, cafes, restaurants, reception areas and house parties.

A UHF silent disco set with up to 3 x wireless transmitters for use with the W Audio SDPRO silent disco wireless headphones. There is no limit for the number of headphones receiving from each transmitter, up to three transmitters maybe used if each transmitter is switched to a different channel allowing up to three audio sources to be played back to the audience. The RF transmission system operates on 863-865Mhz in the license free CH70 spectrum

For a lot of us, it’s been over a year since a lot of equipment (sound systems, computers, lighting and otherwise) have been turned on or even looked at. Batteries will have failed, mechanics will have seized and dust will have built up.

Following the fire at Hale Methodist Church, near Farnham in Surrey Sound Services were asked to upgrade the audio and projection system, to check and tidy the existing wiring and generally sort all of the equipment

This was a satisfying job as we could instantly see the aesthetic results of refitting trunking, loudspeakers, projector etc. in a neat and tidy way

Although not quite finished as the new woodwork is yet to be completed, we thought it was good to post as it shows we are truly back and running

Recently, Sound Services acquired a Sansui AU-555 stereo amplifier. We thought we’d give it a quick cleanup and to our surprise, it actually works.

Sansui were very well respected in the industry back in the ’70s and ’80s, but with this amount of neglect, even we didn’t expect the amplifier to even switch on, let alone run as well as it did.
