RS-1 Starter Set Sound Studio – an entry-level sound studio and audio recording starter set for educational use in schools, colleges and at home – a small sound studio with equipment for both the control room and the recording booth
There are a variety of options for audio recording studios and multimedia suites to suit your needs, from radio station style and DJ setups for the home to more comprehensive audio recording and studios with some multimedia options. The RS-1 system is based around a multi-input stereo mixing desk and audio recording is in MP3 format onto USB sticks or SD cards
The RS-1 studio system can easily be connected to your in-house school distributed ‘radio’ system, your hall PA sound system, your music room or drama studio sound system and your multimedia systems. Extra microphones can be added and the versatile mixing desk is able to mix almost any audio source to feed your PA, audio recorders or ‘radio’ station. The system is supplied with a Bluetooth receiver and audio converter which allows audio media from other sources to be added to your recordings
System includes:
- 1 x 12 input mixing desk with DSP effects processor
- 1 x Bluetooth receiver and audio converter to allow audio media from other sources to be added to your recordings
- 1 x Digital SD card / USB stick MP3 recorder
- 1 x pair powered stereo monitor speakers – see options
- 1 x cabled headphone
- 1 x RCA phono – 3.5mm jack audio input lead
- Cables and sundry items and spares
- 2 x studio condenser microphones with table mounted microphone arm boom stands and windshields
- 2 x twin microphone wall socket with two cables to link to control room mixer
Building on our basic recording studio, the RS-1 can be modified and expanded to suit your requirements by adding DI boxes, microphones, outboard effects processors and more
In the Control Room you could optionally add:
- Digital CD, MP3 and Bluetooth media players allowing music to be easily added to your recordings
- Talk-back paging microphone system so the recording engineer can talk to the booth occupants via headphones or loudspeakers
- USB interface mixer to link the studio system to a PC or laptop for podcasting, Zoom etc.
- An equipment rack to house all of the gear
In the Recording Booth Area you could optionally add:
- 2 x Powered cabinet monitor wall speakers allowing playback of material into the booth
- Extra studio condenser microphones – remembering to add extra microphone mic stands, windshields and XLR cables to suit
- Extra pairs of headphones and a headphone amplifier which can handle multiple sets of headphones
You could have a visitor or student viewing area with:
- 2 x Powered cabinet monitor wall speakers allowing class members to be involved with and to hear the studio session
Sound Services deliver this complete sound system without extra charge to most mainland UK addresses
These kits are supplied complete and ready to assemble with the necessary leads and sundry items to connect the system as described
Some knowledge of sound equipment is needed for speaker cable assembly and installation of these systems require some DIY assembly skills – you should only require basic DIY tools together with speaker, amplifier and cable fixings etc.
